IKEA
so today was one of the few days where im free from the watchful eye of bloomys..where else to celebrate my freedom than to go to—dun dun dun—IKEA! knowing that im a sucker for impulse buys, i told myself that i will buy curtains, and thats it. IKEA had tempted me with many of its products, such as plushy vegetables, hexagon shaped mirrors, furry blankets, etc..but i had to question—“DO I NEED THIS”—realizing that the answer was no, i found myself putting back all the items. What i did need were light bulbs. after 2 hours of wandering around the store, i finally ended up in the curtain section where there was a gorgeous net-like curtain with polka dots. since the curtains were so see thru, i was able to find solid taupe curtains to layer under it. Who knew curtains were so complex—it only comes in one size, and you would have to hem the bottom yourself to fit the height of your window. One of the IKEA employee advised me to buy iron-on tape to do the hemming for the curtains. Once at home, I couldnt wait to start working on my curtains! what a dummy i was for not reading the care label for the polka dot curtains. it specifically said on the cover DO NOT IRON. how the heck am i suppose to use the IRON-on tape!? ding ding ding! IMPROVISE! OOOOyea, double sided tape works just as fine..
